Free Access to TumbleBooks online library
Parents -
Would you like an entire on-screen library of electronic books and quality National Geographic videos for your child - for free? Students at CRES have free access to Tumblebooks and Tumblebook Cloud, Jr., a collection of thousands of e-books, videos and book-related games. You just need a computer or tablet and an internet connection. (From the TumbleBook website: "TumbleBooks are animated, talking picture books which teach kids the joy of reading in a format they'll love. TumbleBook Cloud Junior is an online collection of ebooks and read-along chapter books, non-fiction books, graphic novels, educational videos, and audio books! This database is a great option for adventurous young readers who wish to read beyond the picture book collection in the TumbleBook Library.")
Go to the CRES library web site (this is the only place from which you can have free access to TumbleBooks) - http://www.fivetowns.net/cres/library/index.html , and click on the big, blue button that says "Click here for Tumblebooks." There, a friendly-looking, book-shaped character will point out the choices available. You can adjust each collection so that they are arranged alphabetically by title, or by author. If you want to go to TumbleBook Cloud Jr., Find the yellow button at the bottom of the TumbleBook Home page (it says TBC Jr. inside of a yellow rectangle).
(You can also find the library web page via the CRES page - www.fivetowns.net/CRES/. Click on "Student Services" and choose "Library." Click on "CRES Library.")
